What is a midwife collective?

Each midwife in the collective has her own practice, style, and offerings. We have joined together in a collective for every family to have two midwives at their birth and to ensure that each family has back-up midwives available. Each family that we work with has a team of support and all the resources that come with our many years of combined experience as midwives, mothers, and members of the local and international natural birth communities.

Who do I contact for more information or to schedule a consultation?

We encourage you to schedule a free consultation by contacting the midwife or midwives that seem like they may be a good fit for you. You can find links to the midwives individual websites on the "meet the midwives" page. On the individual sites, you will find details about what midwife care looks like and contact information.

Can I meet all the midwives in the Collective?
‚Äč

Yes! We hold regular "Meet the Midwives" gatherings where the community can come and get acquainted with all of us. We also encourage each family to meet with as many midwives in the collective as they want to in order to ensure a good match. We believe part of a safe and healthy birth is trust and connection between a family and their midwives. While we all offer our unique services and personalities, you can be assured we all have the same values and skills when it comes to giving the best care we can.

Some of us will choose to work together throughout all of the client's care and some of us will have the second midwife only attend the birth. That is the flexibility and freedom of the collective model.
